Very often we talk about change. When we hear of the less fortunate, our compassion may arise and we want to help them but don’t know how or where to start. When we hear of those in poverty, our generosity may arise but we don’t know where to send our resources. When we hear of those who can’t go to school but who want an education, our wisdom may arise but don’t know how to share our knowledge. Now is the time to turn our compassion to action; our generosity to valuable investment to better the lives of others; and our wisdom to educate the future generation of children so they have a chance to make the most of their life for themselves and the  future generations to come.

Now is the time to turn our compassion to action; our generosity to valuable investment to better the lives of others; and our wisdom to educate the future generation of children so they have a chance to make the most of their life for themselves and their future generations to come.

Now it's time to RISE UP.

OUR MISSION

Our mission for the event is two fold.

#1 is to reach 60 people directly on the night, along with even more through word of mouth. Inspiring people to take action by telling others about the importance of educating girls in the developing world.  We aim to reach 1,000 people within a year.

#2 Raise $60,000 funds to establish the Bodhicitta Girl’s Home in Nagpur, India. It will be a place where girls can go for refuge, get an education, learn about social work and be trained to become leaders in their community.

Come and see the strength of the human spirit.
Come and learn about the power of education to change the world.
Come and find out how you too can be the agents of change as we RISE UP and become the masters of our life.

ABOUT THE FILM
girls from girl rising movie
Girl Rising , directed by Academy Award-nominated director Richard E. Robbins, takes us on a journey around the globe to meet nine unforgettable girls living in the developing world: ordinary girls who confront tremendous challenges and overcome nearly impossible odds to pursue their dreams. Girl Rising is told by celebrated writers and voiced by renowned actors such as Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway and Liam Neeson. The art of storytelling is used to deliver a simple critical truth: Educate Girls and You Will Change the World.
